The black market cables definitely do not carry UK warranty and there is no guarantee the terminations are by Nordost in the factory. Suffice to say I know that transistors and valves make Hi-fi sound great but I still do not fully understand how they work, but I know they do. Same with Quantum, it works and how. For the not so scientifically challenged below is a graph of tests carried out by Acuity Products a UK based, independent Defence Contractor. They tested a well respected £4,000 CD player. The red trace is without Quantum and black is with a Qx4 resulting in a 50% reduction in output error values. Scientific proof that the Quantum works.
