If the power supply to your Hi-fi system is suspect then your enjoyment will suffer. The power supplies around the country vary with some areas better than others. The simple test is if your system sounds better at night than it does during peak demand time, then you know a power cleanup is essential. Without an electrical supply, your Hi-fi system will not function, so if you need to give serious consideration to power. There
are three areas to consider. 1/ A well designed power cord will certainly reward your system. Do not forget the fuse. Replace it with a high performance fuse. Do not think of it as a fuse although it will do the job if required, but think of it removing the weak link in the power supply route. Upgrading the plugs to the Furutech range helps you gain that little bit more. 2/ Power conditioning will silence mains bourne noise and protect against spikes. High quality mains blocks from Kemp will do the same to a lesser extent at an affordable level.
