The long-awaited Antila CD player from Leema Acoustics introduces many unique technical and ergonomic innovations to combine state-of-the-art performance with total ease of use. The performance reaches new levels, particularly in the extreme precision of the bass region; the delicate, analogue-like high frequencies and the expansive yet explicitly focused soundstage. The Antila is fully LIPS ( Leema Intelligent Protocol System) compliant, allowing a press of the play button to power up the amplifier(s) from standby and select the CD input. If used in a totally purist, single-source system with the Hydra power amplifier, the Antila will even control the amplifier's volume via LIPS commands. The unique MD 2 Active Differential Multi-DAC technology employs twenty 24bit / 192KHz multi-bit Delta-Sigma converters, and data pipelining to eliminate jitter, a common source of error within CD Players. The Leema-designed FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) generates a fully balanced signal entirely within the digital domain ensuring significantly reduced levels of noise and distortion, thereby producing a breathtakingly real and tactile musical performance.
