The principles & technology
All the cables in the Serenity line, from the Serenity to the Serenity Master Reference use the
same basic parts. For a description of these parts please read the text below.

1. The conductor
Argento have always used round conductors for our cables but for the Serenity we decided
to start over and try different types of conductors. In the process we discovered that the best
sound seemed to be produced by conductor featuring a certain ratio between cross section
and circumference. The result of our efforts was a conductor with the following characteristics:
• Material: 99.997% pure Silver.
• Condition: long duration low temperature annealing followed by long duration 2-
stage cryo treatment (cooled to -193C by gas and then emerged into liquid nitrogen).
• Shape: near super elliptic with optimized surface to cross section ratio and no edges.
· • Surface: polished (the duration of the polishing is determined by the level of Serenity cable)

2. The electrical insulation and mechanical damping.
( please refer to the Argento VDM® section below )

3. The use of shielding
Argento cables are all made without the use of shielding. The reason for this is very simple. It
sounds better and we have experienced next to no problems. The only problems we have
experienced have occurred when using the cables in an environment with heavy electrical
interference and low output MC pickups. If you are contemplating using the Serenity Master
Reference in such a configuration we recommend that you try it before purchasing it.
Cable sheeting made of high temperature tolerant material to avoid damage from hot tubes.

4. Connectors
The Serenity cables use Eichmann Silver bullet plugs, Bocchino pure copper XLR connectors
and Argento pure silver spades which have all be cryo treated to -190 degrees Celsius to
maintain the optimal transmission of the signal through out the cable.
For the “SPECIAL EDITION” cables we use the very high quality connector from Bocchino and
Xhadow also cryo treated version.

Validation process using a combination of extensive ABA & ABX tests followed by long term listening tests.
Each Argento Serenity cable is carefully handcrafted in Denmark.

example : conductors used in the Serenity Master Reference has more and longer treatments
than the ones featured in our entry-level Serenity line)

The Company
Argento Audio was founded back in 1991 by three music lovers that wanted to make audio
systems to sound better. Since then the company have develop from a small size company
with only a domestic market to a supplier of a line of ultra high performance audio cables in
many countries around the world.

The driving force that have brought Argento to the current level is a relentless search for ways
to achieve real and solid performance improvements, far away from marketing gimmicks, to
bring you closer to real live music events.

To find out which parts of a cable the can be improved Argento uses only listening tests carried
out in a diversity of different system. The listening tests are carried out as a combination
of short ABA and ABX tests and long term tests that reveals the real value of the apparent
improvement found during the short term ABA and ABX tests.

This process allows us to design products that are not only precise but also provides pleasure
when using them long term which is of course our greatest goal.
Proprietary material and technology along with careful handcraft makes every single Argento
Serenity cable a true masterpiece designed to expand the musical limits of your system.
These many years of searching and dedication lead Argento down another path than most, if
not all other audio cable companies, focusing on unchartered aspects and eventually resulting
in the development of our own advanced cable technology featured in our state-of-theart Serenity line.
